BAKITHI KUMALO
Bass and Vocals Bakithi is a South African bassist, composer, and vocalist. Kumalo is best known for his fretless bass playing on Paul Simon's 1986 album Graceland, in particular the bass run on "You Can Call Me Al". He is a dear friend of the Bravo Family. |

MORRIS GOLDBERG
Clarinet, Saxophone and Penny Whistle Morris is best known as a member of the Harry Belafonte band and for his work with Paul Simon and Hugh Masekela. He also played in the band on The Rosie O'Donnell Show. He has visited Makom frequently as 'Uncle Morris'. |

DAVID BRAVO
Keyboards David's career as a professional musician includes playing with such luminaries as Harry Belafonte, Bo Diddley, Jack Bruce and Dave Matthews. In addition, David was the Musical Director for Debbie Friedman, z'l, contemporary Jewish music icon. He of course has been Makom's Musical Director for the past 10 years. |

SIPHO KUNENE
Drums Sipho has toured and recorded with South African legends trumpeter Hugh Masekela and South African pianist Abdullah Ibrahim, done a six year stint with Harry Belafonte and worked with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the amazing acapella group which was part of Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ tour. |

LINOR EIN GEDY
Flute and Vocals Linor has been a singer-songwriter in the Gaza Envelope since she was a youth. She led music for Progressive communities throughout the South of Israel for 8 years until she came to New York in September, 2025 and became the Cantorial Soloist for Makom NY. |
