YOM KIPPUR AFTERNOON SPECIAL PROGRAM
Yom Kippur Afternoon:Special October 7th CommemorationOn Yom Kippur afternoon, we traditionally gather for the afternoon service, including the Martyrology and the reading of the Book of Jonah, leading into the Neilah prayers, which conclude the day with beautiful song and spirit. 5:00pm - Reflections on our Israel This year we will begin our Yom Kippur afternoon by hearing some reflections of different individuals on this Post-October 7th Journey. We will hear from a restaurant owner, who decided to support the Jewish community despite the backlash from many of his customers; We will hear from a weekly Hostage Walk walker, whose recent journey to Israel made her keenly aware of our connection to Israel as Jews; We will hear from a volunteer, who picked up her things and journey to Israel in May, to volunteer as she saw fit. We will hear from the family of a hostage, and the impact this has had on her and her extended family. 5:30pm - Commemorating October 7th Through Song and Prayer: Am Yisrael Chai! Rabbi Deborah Bravo and Cantorial Soloist Jessica Steinman will allow our hearts and our heads to come together as one. 6:15pm - Neilah Service - The Conclusion of the Day Join Rabbi Bravo and Jessica in the uplifting melodies and liturgy to end the day of Yom Kippur.
