MAKOMNY

A NEW KIND OF JEWISH COMMUNITY

MAKOMNY JOURNEYS TO EASTERN EUROPE
Postponed to October, 2020

OUR FIRST TRIP TO EASTERN EUROPE AS A COMMUNITY:
PRAGUE * BUDAPEST * KRAKOW * WARSAW

October, 2020 - Postponed due to Coronavirus

Join Rabbi Bravo for this incredible journey
through the past and the present.
Visit Jewish and secular sites,
explore our history and heritage,
travel together, dine together, learn together, remember together.

This journey is a unique opportunity to travel through Eastern Europe,
to see in person some of the history that has impacted the Jewish people and the world forever. We will visit specific sites from the Holocaust, and see the current Jewish community that exists in 2020. We will explore both Jewish and secular sites, led by a terrific tour guide, along with specialty guides for the Jewish areas.

Some Itinerary Details:
We fly from Warsaw to Prague, where we will be met with a private deluxe bus and guide. We will spend 3 nights in Prague, including a tour of the Jewish Ghetto, a visit to Terezin and Shabbat with members of the Prague Jewish community. We then drive to Budapest where we will see the two sides of Buda and Pesht. We will learn about Hungary and the Jewish community, visit the old and new, Jewish and secular sites,
and even take a dinner cruise on the Danube River.

We then make our way to Krakow, where we will visit synagogues and the Schindler Factory, and spend time at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Finally, we will make our way back to Warsaw, where we will see the old and new of the Jewish community, visiting salt mines, the Warsaw Ghetto and Market Square. We will spend Shabbat with the Warsaw Jewish community and conclude our 10 days debriefing our experience together.
