If you would like to become part of our Shorashim program, our monthly or annual donors who make on-going contributions to MakomNY, please CLICK HERE.

As MakomNY is a 501c3 non-profit organization, all Shorashim donations are tax deductible, and individuals will receive tax letters annually if annual donation is $250 or more.

PER-PROGRAM DONATION

MakomNY knows that people are looking for different ways to engage in Jewish community. Therefore, we offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our MakomNY participants, and to help people flourish, with Judaism as the vehicle. To cover the costs of our programs and support our staff and general community, we note a 'suggested donation' for each program.

Programs might include: Shabbat dinners, Torah study, Rosh Chodesh, cooking, book club, open houses, Shabbat services, holiday events and more.

Typically, we suggest an $18 donation for an individual attending a program, and a $36 donation for a family attending a program, unless otherwise noted.

IN MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE

There is a wonderful custom in Judaism that we can honor our loved ones who have died by giving tzedakah, by making a donation in their honor and in their memory.

If you are so inclined, please share with us the name of the person whom you are remembering, so we can remember them with you.

CELEBRATING A MILESTONE

In Judaism, when we celebrate 'simchas', or happy occasions, we often want to find a way to give back. If you would like to make a donation in honor of an upcoming milestone, either for yourself or for a friend or family member, that is a wonderful mitzvah and way to show your gratitude.

SPONSOR A PROGRAM

Often, MakomNY friends are looking for ways to support the community and celebrate joys. If you are looking to sponsor a program in honor (or in memory) of a loved one, an event in your life or something more, we would be honored for you do so.
