We can only exist and continue to offer new and inspirinal opportunities because of our 'Shorashim Donation Program'. Voluntary particition in this program enables us to serve and meet the growing, changing and emerging needs of our community.

The Details: The Shorashim Donation Program is MakomNY's voluntary contribution program.
Participants make a minimum monthly donation (or annual if preferred) and receive all the benefits and more of thriving, active, relevant Jewish community, without per-program donations, including:

High Holy Day Service Reservations
Personalized connection with talented and experienced Rabbi
Creative and mindful services and events
Shabbat dinners at the Rabbi's home
Teen programming
Traditional and progressive worship and programs
Women's groups, Study groups, Discussion groups, etc.
Flourishing program
Social justice and cultural activities

*without additional per-program fees, excluding major holiday meals and school

How The Shorashim Donation Program Works

How The Shorashim Donation Program Works
The Shorashim Donation Program is a set monthly automatic payment. As a guide, we have provided minimum monthly donation amounts, and are always thankful for those who are able to extend their ongoing contributions beyond the minimum donation. (Shorashim donations can also be made annually if preferred).

NOTE: Those enrolled in the Shorashim Monthly Donation Program do not pay any additional fees for High Holy Days.

Single Adult: $90/month (minimum monthly donation)
Couples and Families:$150/month (minimum monthly donation)
Families with Children in Moadon (School) 3rd to 7th grade: $54/month (minimum monthly donation) *We offer this for families currently paying (3rd to 7th grade school fees).
Families with Teens in 8th-12th grades: $90/month (minimum monthly donation)

When you participate in our Shorashim Donation Program for between only $2 and $5 per day you are helping to build a stronger Jewish Community for the future.

We appreciate all types of participation and support for our mission.
