Welcome to the High Holy Days at MakomNYCelebrate the joy and holiness of
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with us. Join Rabbi Deborah Bravo and Cantorial Soloist Linor Ein Gedy. The MakomNY community welcomes those from all backgrounds to share the High Holy Days with us. We have intentionally created a place to help meet the emerging and changing needs of our diverse Jewish community. MakomNY is a progressive pluralist community, established in 2015 to meet the needs of individuals, couples and families with varying backgrounds, traditions and connections to Judaism. Now entering our 12th year, we invite and welcome you to experience the High Holy Day Season in a special and meaningful way with MakomNY. The High Holy Day Experience at MakomNY includes services, programming, learning and communal holiday meals. Our High Holy Day Services offer traditional Hebrew prayers with transliteration as well as spiritual readings, meditations and beautiful music. It is important to us that all are able to follow and participate in the way they find comfortable and fulfilling.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Makom. All services and programs (unless otherwise noted) will be held in person at the Bethpage Worship Center, 600 Broadway, Bethpage. High Holy Day 9-11 Memorial Project
|
Join us on Yom Kippur Afternoon to create special memorial projects as a way to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
We will join together as a community to create both individual and communal projects that remind us of the individuals who were taken from us on 9/11/2001, as well as the impact 9/11 has had on our greater community. We request a minimal donation per adult (children are included with adult registration) that will go to our Sunshine Fund, a way to help the greater community. |
High Holy Day Mitzvah Project

RUDMAN FOOD PANTRY - COLLECTIONS
As in years past, we continue to support the Rudman Family Food Pantry at the Mid-Island Y-JCC. There will be bags available on Rosh Hashanah, and we ask that you bring them back on Yom Kippur filled with your donations. The needs are so great in our community. Please be sure to help! |
