CULTURAL AND COMMUNITY EVENTS

MakomNY offers enriching cultural opportunities for the community and their families to interact with people, places and situations that they may not otherwise experience in the same way.

We offer trips that are geared for all different life stages, are educational and fun. These will alternate from weekdays to weekends, evenings and daytime. Additionally, we will provide resources for you to find opportunities that you may be interested in pursue on your own, with friends or family members.

These may include:

Day trips to local areas of interest
Museum experiences in the greater New York City area
Trips to historic sites
Theater and musical experiences
Civic engagement, like marching in the MLK Jr. March
Speaker/lecture opportunities

Past experiences have included: trips to the Lower East Side, Ellis Island, 9-11 Museum, Holocaust Museum (Long Island), and Women of the Wall (W.O.W.) Speaker Lesley Sachs
