TU B'SHEVAT with MAKOM
|
Tu B'Shevat is a Jewish holiday on the 15th day of the month of Shevat, called the "New Year for the Trees," marking a time of ecological awareness, renewal, and connection to the land of Israel, celebrated with tree planting, special fruit-filled meals, and Kabbalistic "seders" to appreciate nature's bounty and spiritual themes. Originally a date for tithing fruit in ancient Israel, it evolved into a modern environmental holiday and a mystical celebration of trees, renewal, and spiritual growth, often involving eating the biblical "Seven Species".
